My cousins Vikas, Ravi, and Harsh Vishnoi entered the sport of wrestling and found great success, which increased the appeal of the sport even further within the family.
Wrestling became a part of my consciousness as early as childhood thanks to these experiences, but it was a turning point that really set me on this course. When my cousin won the coveted wrestling gold medal in 2018, it sparked a significant change in me. When he returned victoriously to our home, the joyous atmosphere there inspired me to discover my own path in this field. My father, a source of inspiration and direction, was crucial in encouraging me to choose wrestling as my career.

Techniajz Team's Conversation with Mr. Mukesh Vishnoi, Father of Ashwini Vishnoi
Ashwini's father, Mukesh Vishnoi, says that he takes enormous pride in his daughter's journey. She watched her brothers wrestle as she was growing up. My nephew won the wrestling gold medal in 2018, and that lit the spark for wrestling in Ashwini. Motivated by this accomplishment, Ashwini expressed her desire to enter the sport of wrestling.
When she first approached me with this goal, I was hesitant. Her resolve, though, remained unwavering. She started her training program and started her running journey. One fine day, Ashwini's mother told me to take up her wrestling dream seriously after noticing her potential and tenacity. I had a very emotional conversation with Ashwini as a result of this.
After a few days, I inquired of Ashwini whether her desire to wrestle still remained. She responded affirmatively, stating, "Yes, I'm still eager to wrestle." It was on that very day that Ashwini's journey in the world of wrestling commenced. I have invested all of my earnings up to this point in Ashwini's pursuit. Mr. Mukesh Vishnoi, Ashwini's father, holds a singular aspiration: for Ashwini to secure a minimum of four Olympic medals. He asserts that he is prepared to do whatever it takes to support Ashwini, even if it means liquidating his assets.
Mr. Mukesh Vishnoi recalled that after Ashwini won the gold medal in Jordan, the Akhil Bhartiya Vishnoi Mahasabha congratulated her and gave her a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh.
Ashwini’s wrestling journey teaches us that anyone can overcome major challenges and achieve their goals if they have unwavering support, unwavering commitment, and the courage to defy expectations. The story of Ashwini will continue to resonate throughout the coming years, welcoming the beginning of a new era of empowerment and honoring the triumph of human endurance in trying circumstances.
