Andhra Pradesh is located in the southeastern part of the subcontinent. It is bounded by the Indian states of Tamil Nadu to the south, Karnataka to the southwest and west, Telangana to the northwest and north, and Odisha to the northeast. The eastern boundary is a 600-mile (970-km) coastline along the Bay of Bengal. Telangana was a region within Andhra Pradesh for almost six decades, but in 2014 it was carved off to form a separate state. The capital of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is Hyderabad, in west-central Telangana.

Jasmine is widely cultivated for the fragrance of their flower.

The Scientific name of Jasmine is Jasminum sambac.

Jasmine is either deciduous or evergreen flower.

Neem is also called nim or margosa.

Neem has scientific name that is “Azadirachta indica”.

4. State bird of Andhra Pradesh-The rose-ringed parakeet(Psittacula krameria)

The rose-ringed parakeet also known as the ring-necked parakeet has scientific name that is Psittacula krameria.

It has found in Africa and the Indian Subcontinent.

The IUCN declared its species is least concern.

It feed on fruits, vegetables, nuts, chilli, and seeds.

5.State animal of Andhra Pradesh-The blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra)

The blackbuck ,(Indian antelope) has a scientific name Antilope cervicapra.

Blackbuck inhabit forested areas and water sources.

Blackbuck has 57 kg weigh, white fur on the chin and around the eyes.

Blackbuck has two-tone colouration; the upper parts and outsides of the legs are dark brown to black, the under parts and the insides of the legs are white.

Mango has scientific name that is Mangifera indica.

Mango has found in Myanmar, Bangladesh, and northeastern India.

Mango have different color like pale yellow,gold,green or orange.

7.State sweet of Andhra Pradesh- Poothareku (Paper Sweet)

Poothareku is the popular sweet of south-east india.

In Telugu language The meaning of sweet Poothareku pootha means 'coating' and reku (plural rekulu) means 'sheet' that is 'coated sheet'.

Ingredients-

Powdered Sugar (150 gm)

Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

Cashews - 150 gm

Dry fruits - As required

Ghee - 150 gm

Paper-rice

Method-

1.First Take three layers of the rice paper.

2. then Put a desi ghee, jaggery and broken cashew nut on it.

3. Make two or more folds and put some more ghee, jaggery and broken cashew nut.

4. Finally Pack into plastic wraps and then in a carton box to be sent to homes or shop for sale.

Making of the paper-rice-

1.First Make thin rice batter called jaya biyyam.

2.Then Taken an earthen pot, invert it and light a fire underneath.

3.pot should be very hot, otherwise the paper won’t be formed nicely.

4. Dip a thin cotton cloth and use it to spread a very thin layer on top of the earthen opt. This is done in one quick shot and the rice layer is barely even seen till it’s scraped off.

8. State dance of Andhra Pradesh-Kuchipudi

Kuchipudi is state dance of the Andhra Pradesh state

Kuchipudi’s origin since 17th century.

Kuchipudi is created by Sidhyendra Yogi.

His dance-drama is Bhama Kalapam, a story of Satyabhāma, the charming but jealous wife of the god Krishna.

The dance performance begins with the sprinkling of holy water and the burning of incense.

The characters are introduced, together with songs concerning their function in the performance.
