3. Bank Holiday in April 2023 in India:

4. Indian Fair and Festivals in April 2023:

Odisha Day: Odisha Day, also known as Utkala Dibasa, is celebrated on 1 April in the Indian state of Odisha to commemorate the state's formation as a separate state from Bihar and Orissa Province on 1 April 1936, with the addition of Koraput District and Ganjam District from the Madras Presidency. Every year on April 1st, Odisha Dibasa or Utkala Dibasa is celebrated throughout the state. This festival is enhanced by thousands of shops and Jhankis. Popular local politicians organize competitions, such as fireworks displays.

Hanuman Jayanti: Hanuman Jayanti is a Hindu festival that celebrating the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman. Mahavira, Bajrangbali, Anjaneya, Pawan Putra, Anjani-Putra, Kesari Nandan, and Maruti are some of Lord Hanuman's countless names. As per the Hindu calendar, Hanuman Jayanti is observed on the full moon day of the Chaitra month. So, Hanuman Jayanti will be observed on April 6 this year. Worshippers observe a day-long fast, offer vermilion or red cloth and marigolds, visit the temple, and take part in ceremonial occasions and religious events on Hanuman Jayanti.

Baisakhi: Baisakhi, which is primarily observed in Punjab, is among the most widely observed Hindu festivals in India in April. Baisakhi will be celebrated on April 14th this year. Baisakhi is observed on the first day of the Nanakshahi calendar. Every year, the Baisakhi festival falls in the month of Baisakh, which also happens to be the harvest season for the Rabi crop.

The sun's entry into Mesh Rashi is the archaeological significance of Baisakhi. This particular time is known by various names in India. 'Rongali Bihu' is from Assam, 'Naba Barsha' is from Bengal, 'Puthandu' is from Tamil Nadu, 'Pooram Vishu' is from Kerala, and 'Vaishakha' is from Bihar.

Kadammanitta Padayani, Kerala: This week-long festival in Kerala is organized when the sun is believed to come in the constellation of Aries, according to the Malayalam calendar, on the first day of the month of Medam. During the festive season, Kerala hosts a variety of events that highlight the state's rich culture and traditions. This year Kadammanitta Padayani will be celebrated from April 14 to April 23 in Kerala.

Akshaya Tritiya: Akshaya Tritiya, also recognized as Akha Teej, is an extremely auspicious day that is recognized on the third day after Amavasya, which is a no-moon day. April 22nd, 2023, will be observed as Akshaya Tritiya. "Akshaya" literally means "that one that never diminishes." It is thought to be the best day for starting new businesses, holding events such as weddings, investing, or purchasing precious valuables such as diamonds and gold.
