A Brief History of the Summer Olympics:

Summer Olympics Games is also known as Games of the Olympiad. This is an international sports event which is held once every four years. The first time in 1896 in Athens, Greece this event was held and a recent event was held in 2016 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This sports event is monitored by International Olympic Committee. From 1904 winner started to get gold, silver, and bronze medals for getting first, second, and third place respectively in an event. Summer Olympics Games became so popular that its success gave birth to The Winter Olympics Games. The Summer Olympics were supposed to be held in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be now held in July 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. In 2024 the Summer Olympics will be held in Paris for the third time, the last time it was held in 1924 exactly 100 years before. In 2028 the Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, California for the third time. 

Finally, the wait is over with the announcement that the Summer Olympics will take place from 23rd July to the 8th of August in 2021 which was supposed to take place in 2020 from 24th of July to 9th August but couldn’t due to Covid-19 Pandemic. Though the name will remain the same "Tokyo Olympics 2020" not the "Tokyo Olympic 2021" due to marketing reasons.

The Opening Ceremony will be held on 23rd July but softball and soccer tournaments will commence before the opening ceremony that is 21st July and the Closing Ceremony will be on the 8th of August. All the games will be played in Tokyo City. This Tokyo city is divided into two part one is Tokyo Bay Zone and The Heritage Zone. All the games will be played in Tokyo City. Everything will take place as usual in Tokyo Olympics but the foreign visitor won’t be allowed to cheer their teams this summer due to the rising threat of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

In this edition of the Summer Olympics, Humanoid robots will be used to assist and interact with the spectators.

The Medals which will be awarded to the winners are made from Recycled Mobile Phones.

The Tokyo Olympics is going to feature about 339 events in 33 different sports. In Tokyo Olympics 5 new sports are going to be introduced for the very first time.
