Tesla Inc. –

Tesla Inc. is an American clean energy and electric vehicle manufacturing company which is established in Palo Alto, California. Tesla company manufactures solar panels, solar roof tiles, electric cars, battery energy storage and services. In the year 2020 Tesla had achieved record sales in the Plug-in and battery-electric car segments, Tesla captured around 16% of the market share in plug-in and 23% market share in the battery-electric market.

Tesla was founded on the 1^st of July 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. Martin Eberhard was the CEO and Marc Tarpenning as CFO. Later Ian Wright joins them as the third employee of Tesla. These three raised around 7.4 million USD funds from various investors in February 2004. In that funding, Elon Musk contributed around 6.5 million USD. Later Elon Musk joined Tesla in May 2004.

• Tesla Inc. was known as Tesla Motors Inc. previously but after February 2017 its name was changed from Tesla Motors Inc. to Tesla Inc.
• Tesla has set up its business at 35 locations till now. In which Tesla Inc. covers North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, East Asia.
• Roby Denholm is the Chairman, Elon Must is the CEO, Zack Kirkhorn is the CFO and Drew Baglino is the CTO in Tesla Inc.

Tesla Annual Income Statement:

Tesla Inc has reported a revenue of 31.5 billion for the financial year 2020 which is an increase of 168.19% compared to Financial Year 2017. Tesla’s net income has grown up to 135.18% to 690 million.

Tesla Earning:

Tesla Inc has reported Earnings Per Share of 0.7 for the financial year 2020 which is an increase of 149.48% compared to the financial year 2017.

Tesla Share Price:

Tesla share Price in the last 52 weeks has ranged between INR 273 to INR 900 and Tesla share price in the last one week (July 8^th to July 15^th 2021) has ranged from INR 627 to INR 693.

Tesla Model S:

Tesla Model S car also known as WhiteStar is an electric vehicle that tops the sales ranking soon after launch and it was the first electric car to achieve that feat. Production of the Tesla Model S was started back in 2012 and still continues. Tesla Model S had won “Motor Trend Car of the Year” in 2013 and in the same year also won “World Green Car” awards. Tesla Model S is a 5-door liftback sedan

Tesla Model 3:

Tesla Model 3 was first unveiled on March 31^st 2016. Tesla Model 3 is the world’s best-selling electric car in automobile history after March 2020. Tesla Model 3 remains the world’s best-selling plug-in electric car for three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020. Tesla Model 3 is a 4-door fastback sedan.

Tesla Model X:

Tesla Model X is sold in 5-, 6- & 7-seater configurations. Tesla Model X is a medium-sized SUV. The doors of the Tesla Model X open vertically. Tesla Model X sales started in September 2015. Tesla Model X was built on the full-sized sedan platform of Tesla Model S.

Tesla Model Y:

Tesla Model Y is a compact crossover utility vehicle. The Tesla Model Y is built on the platform of The Tesla Model X. Tesla Model Y was launched on March 14^th 2019.

Future Product of Tesla Inc. –

Tesla Roadster Second Generation:  

Elon Musk unveiled the Roadster Second generation car in an event held on November 16^th 2017. Talking about the features of the Tesla Roadster Second Generation Musk said that it will have the range of 1000 Km on the 200kWh battery pack and can achieve 0-60 mph speed in just 1.9 seconds and 0-100 mph speed in just 4.2 seconds. Tesla Roadster second generation will have a top speed of 400 Km/h. The second-generation Tesla Roadster will feature 3 electric motors and also include SpaceX cold air thrusters to increase the speed more. The base price of second-generation Roadster was wet at 2,00,000 USD. Second generation Tesla Roadster deliveries are expected to start from 2022.

Tesla Semi:

Tesla Semi is an electric truck. Tesla Semi is a class 8 semi-electric truck that was announced by Tesla back in November 2017. There will be two variants of the Tesla Semi one with 480 Km and another one with an 800 Km range. Tesla Semi will be powered by 4 electric motors. This Semi-truck from Tesla will have an extensive set of hardware sensors to keep this truck in its own lane and will keep it at a safe distance from the other vehicles. Elon Musk in this event also said that Tesla is planning to install a solar-powered global network of Tesla Mega-chargers to make Tesla Semi more attractive for the long haul. A 30-minutes charge will enable Tesla semi to travel 640 Km. Tesla Semi’s delivery was scheduled for 2019 but it was delayed. For this delay, Elon Musk said that Tesla Semi requires five times more battery cells compared to their passengers’ cars so, due to insufficient battery supply the delay in Tesla Semi has occurred.

Tesla Cybertruck:

On 21^st November 2019, Tesla has unveiled their first light-duty truck “Cybertruck”. In September 2020 Musk has said that Tesla has received around 6,00,000 Cybertruck precoders. Due to the design of the Cybertruck, it received a mixed reception from the public. Tesla Cybertruck will be available for purchase towards the end of the year 2021.

Tesla Cyberquad:

Along with the Cybertruck launch event Tesla also unveiled Tesla Cyberquad. Cyberquad is a four-wheeler bike.
