The author evaluates Ray’s genius by researching material available about him by maestros of Indian art like Paritosh Sen, Raghunath Goswamy, Dr Ranen Ayan Dutt, Purnendu Pattrea, and others. Ray collectors all over India have opened their vaults to contribute rare gems of design to make this book truly a collector’s item.About the Author :Jayanti Sen is a filmmaker who learned the craft from Satyajit Ray himself, as part of his film unit. Later, she trained in film animation at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and has directed several animation films. In 1995, she curated the first-ever exhibition of Ray’s graphic designs in Kolkata.
