Match 43 of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) featured all-around bowling performances and an all-around 50 by Glenn Maxwell. Kohli's side took 17.1 overs to chase down the target after needing 150 runs to win. Virat Kohli crushed three fours in the first over as we started the chase quickly. A four from each of Devdutt Padikkal and Kohli in the second over. After getting a reprieve in the third over, the left-hander hit three fours over the next two overs. It was Mustafizur Rahman who disturbed the timber in the final over of the powerplay to give RR their first wicket. RRR removed Kohli through a brilliant run-out by Riyan Parag, who put a diving stop at a point and then caught the RCB skipper short of his crease with an edge at the non-striker's end. K.S. Bharat and Maxwell then combined for a 69-run stand to edge RCB into the game. RCB did not face run-rate pressure as the pair pounced on every scoring opportunity.

In the 16th over, Bharat was out after scoring a 44, Maxwell and AB de Villiers take the RCB Home. The Royals started the game off well by batting first, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Evin Lewis. The pair scored 13 runs in the third over, bowled by Glenn Maxwell, after scoring 8 in the first two overs. Garton was then beaten with two sixes and a four by Lewis. Harshal Patel was then targeted, and four and six were struck as RR crossed the fifty mark. Mohammed Siraj finished the powerplay with a four-run over, while Jaiswal blasted two fours off Daniel Christian before hitting a six off RCB all-rounder. RCB got a much-needed breakthrough when Christian removed Jaiswal in the same over.

RR then scored their hundred in their next over, immediately after Lewis had scored his fifty. The RCB started to pull back when Garton took the second wicket of RR, dismissing Lewis. RR reached 117/5 in Shahbaz Ahmed's over, where he dismissed Samson and Rahul Tewatia after Yuzvnedra Chahal had the better of Mahipal Lomror in the 13th over. Liam Livingstone was RR's sixth wicket and Chahal took his second wicket from his four overs as he completes his quota. After RCB had taken a hat-trick in the last game against Mumbai Indians, Harshal Patel bowled a 3-wicket over to restrict RR to 149/9.

Here are the Scores: Royal Challengers Bangalore 153/3 (Glenn Maxwell 50*; KS Bharat 44; Mustafizur Rahman 2/20) beat Rajasthan Royals 149/9 (Evin Lewis 58, Yashasvi Jaiswal 31; Harshal Patel 3.34) by 7 wickets.
