MS Dhoni hands over CSK captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja ahead of IPL 2022
Dhoni, a four-time IPL winner as captain with CSK, handed over the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja, days ahead of the IPL 2022 against Kolkata.
As the IPL 2022 season opens on Thursday, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has given over the leadership reins of Chennai Super Kings to Ravindra Jadeja.
CSK released a statement in which MS Dhoni said: "MS Dhoni decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings to Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja, who has been part of CSK since 2012, will be the third person to lead CSK in the franchise's history.
Having won four titles in the IPL between 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021, Dhoni will continue to play for Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond." Dhoni is the second most successful skipper in IPL history.
