Rajasthan's Karauli District Celebrated Its 25th Foundation Day:
- On July 19, 1997, Rajasthan's Karauli district was established.
- On March 1st, 1997, the five Tehsils of Sawai Madhopur were combined to form the Karauli district, which the Rajasthani government announced.
- The Karauli district was officially established on July 19, 1997, following the issuance of a notification on July 15, 1997, by the then-chief minister, Shri Bhairo Singh Shekhawat.
- According to the 2011 Census, the district is home to 14, 58, 459 people and covers 5,043 square kilometers.
- The Chambal River, the state's principal river, divides it from Madhya Pradesh.
