Government Side -

It is important to note that after 2026, according to the population in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the number of constituencies has to increase, the existing parliament building is small in size.
- Central government ministries and their departments are spread over other areas, causing unnecessary delays in the discharge of inter-departmental obligations.
- The existing buildings are built in the year 1911, most of which have completed their structural life.
The Concerns -
- This redevelopment project will require a huge amount of money. Spending such a large amount of money during a global pandemic is not a good decision.
- Large-scale building construction is likely to increase environmental pollution in the area.
- With the establishment of offices of the ministries and departments, this area will be restricted to the general public.
